Ireland is a great place. Like everywhere else it has its good and bad. We have ignored the bad for too long and look at the consequences - banks in turmoil, religious congregations on the run from their despicable past, the government buckling under pressure, little challenge from the so called opposition. And what will come of all this? Well if we look to the past to learn then we will expect things to continue as normal. The banks will be bailed out, the congregations will pay a fine and carry on, the government will continue to ignore the problems of the electorate and we will let them.
